Who publishes this site

Rikaido Me is a how well do you know me quiz published at rikaidome.com. The Japanese brand name is リカイド. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and what rights you have.

This policy is written for a real product: a free quiz you can create without an account, share as a link, and score in a public ranking. It is not a placeholder.

What this site does with data

You pick a pack and a length, answer either-or questions, and receive one URL. A friend opens that URL, types a display name, and guesses the sides you already picked. The score and ranking live on that same link.

We store only what that loop needs. We do not ask you to register, sign in, or give an email address to make or guess a quiz. If you email us, that message is separate from the quiz.

Information we collect

Information you type into a quiz

When you create a quiz we store:

The display name you type
The language of that quiz (English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Filipino, or Malay)
The chosen question IDs and the sides you picked
The time the quiz was created
A public link identifier so the quiz can be opened again

When a friend guesses we store:

The display name they type
Their guesses and the resulting score
The time of that attempt

That data is what makes the public ranking on the challenge page work. Anyone who has the quiz link can see names and scores on that page. Treat the link like a postcard: do not put a legal name, email address, phone number, home address, or other personal identifier in a display name.

Information kept on your device

This browser may keep a short list of quizzes you created, so you can open them again. That list stays on the device unless you clear site data. The site may also remember your language choice.

We do not use that on-device list to build an advertising profile.

Information browsers and our host send anyway

Like most websites, our host (Cloudflare) may see technical request data such as IP address, approximate country or city derived from IP, browser type, device type, referring URL, and which page was opened. We use that to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and stop abuse. We do not use server logs to build a login profile, and we do not ask the browser for precise GPS location.

Messages you send us

If you email hello@rikaidome.com, we receive the address you send from and the content of the message. We use that only to reply, to handle a privacy request, or to review a report.

Information we do not collect for the quiz

Rikaido Me does not require an account. The quiz flow does not collect:

Email address, phone number, or postal address
Payment card numbers
Government identifiers
Precise device location
Photos or files
User-written quiz questions (the question bank is editorial)

Friends only choose between two sides we already wrote.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

Create the quiz, show the challenge page, and calculate scores
Show a public ranking to anyone with the link
Remember language and the quizzes created on this device
Keep the site available, secure, and within our Community Guidelines
Respond to contact, privacy, and abuse reports
Understand aggregate traffic so we can keep pages working
If advertising is enabled, request ads that are allowed on a given page

We do not sell quiz answers, display names, or email addresses. We do not use quiz answers to build interest-based advertising audiences, and we do not send email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifiers in advertising requests.

Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar laws)

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on:

Legitimate interests, to operate a how well do you know me quiz, keep rankings working, secure the service, and review abuse
Consent, for non-essential advertising cookies and personalized ads if those are turned on for your region
Legal obligation, if we must keep or disclose a record

You can object to legitimate-interest processing or withdraw advertising consent as described below. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier, lawful processing invalid.

Cookies, local storage, and similar tools

Rikaido Me may use:

A language cookie (or equivalent) so English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Filipino, or Malay stays selected
Local storage on this device for a short list of quizzes you created
Technical cookies the host needs to deliver the page

These first-party tools run the quiz. They are described in more detail in the Cookie Policy.

If we later enable advertising or additional analytics, those partners may set their own cookies, pixels, or identifiers. That use is described in the next section and will stay disclosed here.

Advertising, third-party cookies, and Google

The first loop of Rikaido Me is free and does not require an account. We may show advertising — including Google AdSense — on pages that already have substantial content, such as result pages or editorial pages. We will not place ads in software, email, pop-ups, empty shells, or next to quiz buttons in a way that invites accidental clicks.

Third parties, including Google, use cookies, web beacons, and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Those partners may collect or receive information about your visit to this site and other sites, including a cookie identifier, browser type, and the page you viewed. Google and its partners may use that information to show ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites (interest-based advertising / personalized advertising).

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit www.aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising.

We do not pass personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number into advertising requests. Quiz display names and answers are not used as remarketing lists or sensitive-interest audiences (for example health, religion, or sexual orientation).

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region that requires a certified consent tool before personalized ads, we will not request personalized ads until a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) has recorded a valid choice. Until then, ads — if shown — are limited to non-personalized inventory or are not shown.

Analytics

We may use a privacy-minded analytics tool (currently a self-hosted Umami tracker) to see which pages load and whether the quiz is working. That tool is configured to understand traffic, not to build a cross-site advertising profile. If we add Google Analytics or another measurement product, it will be named here and in the Cookie Policy.

We share information only as needed to run the site:

Cloudflare, which hosts the website, the database, and related infrastructure
Anyone with your quiz link, who can see display names, scores, and ranking rows
Advertising and measurement partners, including Google, if ads or extra analytics are enabled
Authorities, if the law requires it or we need to protect the service or other people

We do not sell personal information and we do not share quiz answers with data brokers. If a future processor is added (for example a consent platform), we will update this page.

How long we keep information

Quiz answers and ranking rows stay available so the shared link keeps working. We may delete unused, abandoned, or abusive quizzes, or a quiz you ask us to remove if you send the link to hello@rikaidome.com.

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. Email you send us is kept long enough to finish the request.

On-device language and quiz lists last until you clear site data or we change how the product works.

International transfers

Rikaido Me is delivered on Cloudflare’s global network. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where Cloudflare or a listed partner operates. Where a transfer law applies, we rely on the partner’s published transfer tools (such as standard contractual clauses) and on the fact that the quiz is a service you chose to use.

Children

Rikaido Me is not directed at children under 13, or under the digital-consent age in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child submitted a name or a quiz, email us with the quiz link and we will delete it.

The question bank is written for everyday social situations among friends, classmates, couples, and fans. It is not a children’s product, and we do not use children’s data for advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Ask what information we hold about a quiz you created or a message you sent
Ask us to delete a quiz, a ranking row, or an email thread
Correct a display name if you still control the device that created the quiz (create a new quiz if you cannot)
Object to or restrict some processing
Withdraw advertising consent, if we are using a CMP
Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those words are used in the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. You may still email us to request deletion of a quiz link.

To use these rights, write to hello@rikaidome.com and include the quiz URL if the request is about a quiz. We may need to ask a follow-up question so we do not delete someone else’s ranking.

Security

We use HTTPS, a modern host, and access controls on the production database. No website is perfectly secure. A leaked quiz link lets other people see names and scores, so only send the link to people you trust.

Do not track and similar signals

Browsers may send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. We honor advertising consent through a certified CMP when that tool is deployed. Clearing cookies and site data in your browser also resets the language cookie and the on-device quiz list.

Changes

We may update this policy when the product, the host, or the advertising setup changes. The date at the top of the page is the latest version. If a change is material — for example if we start collecting email addresses for accounts — we will say so on this page.
