Playing the dark pack well

The dark pack is about ordinary social awkwardness. Here is what that covers, and how to send it without it going sideways.

What “dark” means here

White lies, muted groups, jealousy you already felt, the 2 a.m. draft you did or did not send. Every question has two sides that a decent person could pick: “You forgot a promise — admit it first, or hope they forget?” “You found a secret — feel heavier, or feel powerful?” Nothing in the pack involves violence, sex, self-harm, or hate. If a question ever looks like that, email the wording to hello@rikaidome.com.

Why a high score here means more

Friends often guess the flattering side, because they answer for the person they like, not the one who sometimes leaves the cart full overnight. A friend who scores high here has seen you on a bad day and stayed.

Answering honestly

This pack only works if you pick the true side, not the one you would say in public. Nobody sees your answers except as the reveal after each guess, and you can swap a question that feels too close to home. The score counts matches — it never labels which side is “worse.”

Sending it with care

Send it in a 1:1 chat or a small group that already talks this way. Do not post it publicly, and do not use the ranking to embarrass anyone. Names and scores are visible to anyone with the link, so use nicknames. If a quiz or a ranking name is used to harass someone, send the /q/ link from Contact and we can hide it. The pack is written for adults and older teens.

The four topics

Ten questions per topic. Both sides of every question are written so either answer can be true for a decent person.

  1. 01

    Honesty

White lies to keep the peace, correcting someone in a group, admitting a forgotten promise first.

  2. 02

    Envy

A friend’s win on social media: like it immediately or sit with it. Comparing yourself often, or only on bad days.

  3. 03

    Secrets

A friend’s secret, your own diary, incognito tabs, location sharing. What you keep, not what you invent.

  4. 04

    Impulses

Late texts, a full cart, a dare in the group, bumping into an ex, last train or staying out.

Who to send it to

People who already know your less flattering habits. Not a stranger, and not someone you want to catch out.

A close friend who has heard the drafts

They already know whether you send the 2 a.m. text. The score shows whether they know the rest.

A small group that already talks like this

One link, one ranking. If the group mostly talks about food or class, those packs fit better.

Adults and older teens

The pack is written for adults and older teens. It is not a children’s product.

What a high score means

Someone has seen how you sit with jealousy, whether you tell a white lie, and what you do with a text at 2 a.m. It is not a morality grade.

Honesty tells

A friend asks “Do I look okay?” — kind or exact. A gift you dislike — smile and keep it, or say so gently.

Envy and secrets

You were not invited: ask why, or assume it was small. A crush nobody knows: keep it, or tell one person.

Late impulses

A full cart: check out or leave it overnight. A sudden trip idea: book tonight or sleep on it.

When to send it

Small and private beats big and public. Do not post it in a comment section.

A 1:1 chat

Send it to the friend who already heard the unpretty story.

A small group that already goes there

If the thread already talks about jealousy and drafts, one link is enough.

As a rematch, not a trap

If they made one for you, answer it. Do not use the ranking to embarrass anyone.

FAQ

1 Is the dark pack violent or adult?

No. It is honesty, envy, secrets, and everyday impulses. Community Guidelines also ban sexual, hateful, or self-harm display names. Report a link used to harass someone.

2 What does the score measure?

How many of your honesty, envy, secret, and impulse picks someone guessed. It is not a verdict on whether you are a good person.

3 Can I write my own darker questions?

No. Every question is written and reviewed by us. Visitors only type a display name and tap a side.

4 Who sees the ranking?

Anyone with the link. Use a nickname. Email the /q/ link to hello@rikaidome.com if a name should come down.

5 Why have a dark pack at all?

Close friends already know each other’s drafts, mute lists, and white lies. Keeping those questions in their own pack means nobody gets one in a class chat or a food quiz by surprise.

6 What if a display name on a quiz is abusive?

Email hello@rikaidome.com with the /q/ link. We can replace or hide a name or the whole quiz.
