Running a good food round

Food questions are small and repeatable, which makes them some of the easiest to guess — if you have actually eaten together.

Why food memory works

People who eat with you have watched the same calls over and over: whether you drink the soup, take the last bite, pick out the mushrooms, or put lemon on everything fried. That repetition is why food scores run high between roommates and regular dinner friends — and why they drop fast for friends who only see you at parties.

The questions that split groups

Some questions reliably split a table. “Cold pizza in the morning: valid, or a crime?” “Cilantro: yes please, or pick it out?” “Ice cream melting: eat faster, or accept the soup?” Those are the ones that separate the people who have watched you from the people guessing what most people do. Check the stats page to see which side most people pick.

Picking a length

Ten questions works for a table waiting on food. Twenty gives five per topic — meals, snacks, drinks, and taste — and is the right default. Forty uses the whole pack. If your friends mostly know your coffee order and nothing else, a longer set will show that clearly in the drinks score.

Using it on a trip or a dinner

Send it before a trip to see who you will trust to order for you. Or have everyone play at the table while you wait, then compare: the result page shows who got which questions only they knew. The loser picks the next restaurant.

The four topics

Ten questions per topic, forty in all. The food pack stays on the table.

  1. 01

    Meals

Breakfast, rice or bread, hot pot style, the usual order or something new.

  2. 02

    Snacks

Late-night hunger, the last cookie, movie snacks, sharing fries, free samples.

  3. 03

    Drinks

Ice, the morning cup, bubble tea sweetness, milk in tea, a hot drink on a hot day.

  4. 04

    Taste

Spice, cilantro, egg on rice, mushrooms, cold pizza in the morning: valid or a crime.

Who to send it to

People who eat with you. A partner who never shares a meal will do better on the love pack.

Friends you eat with

The group that already fights about the last bite. One link is enough.

Roommates

They see the leftovers and the late-night snack run. They should score high here.

A partner who shares meals

If you wanted dating questions, open the love pack. If you wanted broth and ice, stay here.

What a high score means

Someone has watched your orders and your leftovers. It is not a diet label and it is not a restaurant review.

Meal memory

Rice or bread for life, the last shared bite, dine-in or takeout. People who have sat across a table should get these.

Snacks and drinks

Chips or chocolate, bubble tea sweetness, ice in the cup. Small calls friends already argue about.

Taste tells

Spice level, cilantro, pizza crust, lemon on fried food. The habit, not a gourmet personality.

When to send it

In the chat that already argues about where to eat.

After a meal

On the way home, while the order is still an argument.

In the dinner group

One link. Everyone guesses how you eat. The ranking fills in.

Before a trip

Find out who actually knows your order before you share a table for a week.

FAQ

1 What does the food pack score?

How many of your meal, snack, drink, and taste picks someone guessed. A high score means they watched you eat, not that you eat “well.”

2 Will it mix in dating or school questions?

No. Those are separate packs. This one stays on food.

3 Do I need an account?

No. Answer the food set and copy the link. Friends only type a display name.

4 Is this a diet or restaurant ranking?

No. There is no health score and no best shop. Friends guess the sides you already picked.

5 Does it judge how healthy I eat?

No. Both sides are written to stand. Leftovers or a fresh order is a memory question, not advice. Nothing is scored on nutrition.

6 Is it a good one to send after cooking together?

Yes. That is when the details are freshest, and the ranking measures who was watching the kitchen.
